After reading best practice’s
manual prepare your home for treatment. This is the most important step and will take
some a considerable amount of time and work. All items that could melt, expand/explode
or be harmed by the heat process need to be inspected and removed. Clothing in closets
should be left in but space between each item is needed to allow hot air to penetrate
accurately and fully, folded clothing or stacks of clothing is not allowed as heat
cannot penetrate such item and should be put into a plastic bag, sealed and laundered
at a later time with high heat in both the washer and the drying cycles.
A technician will deliver the
heating equipment and demonstrates in detail best practices of both set-up and running
of the heating systems.
Monitoring of the heat up process
is a must! We provide a heat sensing laser temperature gun to aid in determining when
each item is “up to temperature” and also aid in fan placement. Once lethal temperatures
are reached a additional 4-6 hours is necessary to heat up ALL of the items in the
affected room. Remember temperature of 130-140 is lethal to insects and likewise is
hard on the human body as well. Anyone with medical condition that limit certain
activity’s should talk to their doctor prior the entering a supper heated room and
likewise you may only enter a heated room to check temperature and or modify treatment
strategy. No one should stay in a room while it is being treated.
Vacuum and clean as needed with
provided HEPA vacuum.
Technician will pick up equipment
